Innovation Zero World Congress

The Innovation Zero World Congress was held at the Olympia, London, on 29-30 April. On 30 April 14:30-15:15, Niki Mardas, Global Canopy’s Executive Director, spoke on a panel event: ‘The Path to a Nature-Positive Future‘.

Nature forms the backbone of our economic system, sustaining food security, safeguarding health and mitigating the impacts of climate change. Yet, we face an unprecedented crisis as biodiversity and ecosystems decline at an unprecedented rate.

As the realities of nature loss become increasingly clear, it’s imperative for governments, businesses and financial institutions to step up and take decisive action to halt and reverse nature loss.

The panel explored how to embed nature into climate strategies and long-term planning and the opportunities that come with transitioning to a nature-positive economy.
